Member's Corner

What can you expect when you become a member of our Chapter?  This week's Member's Corner profiles Demetria Wiley.  

Demetria  Each month at our Chapter meeting you will see Demetria's friendly and familiar face.  As a longstanding member of our Chapter, she is one member to get to know.  Demetria began coming to meetings for professional growth in her BA career.  During one event she met one of our Sponsors.  Long story short, she began working for them.  Better yet, over five years later, she is still one of their employees!  Demetria, we salute you!

"Hats & Mittens" Annual Charity Drive

  BAs, Minnesota winters can be brutal!  Our Chapter will sponsor our annual “Hats & Mittens” drive at the February 14th Chapter meeting!  Please bring a warm item donation.  If you are not able to attend but would like to donate, please register and we will have a volunteer pick up your donation.    Monetary donations also accepted.  Receipts provided upon request.  Your help to those in need is appreciated!

Featuring Bao Do and Leading with Learning

Our guest speaker Terry Baresh, a long-standing member of the Chapter, will begin our exciting series on cybersecurity and share his expertise with us.  He will speak to you about common cybersecurity practices, tools and methodologies.  Terry will also play together the role of a BA on a cybersecurity team.

TERRY BARESH  Terry Baresh, CBAP®, is a veteran business analyst with over twelve years of comprehensive experience in software design, development, quality assurance and testing.  Versed in all aspects of systems design life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, Agile, waterfall and product life-cycle management, with a proven track record of managing complex projects in fast-paced, dynamic and diverse environments.  Working at Xcel Energy, Terry collaborated with cyber security experts, architects and analysts to design, deploy and integrate enterprise-wide security processes that exceeded regulatory requirements.
