November 2018 IIBA MSP Chapter Newsletter Print

President's Corner

This past week we celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary Party as a Chapter.  During this event we streamed live the IIBA Chapter Awards.  The room erupted when our Chapter was recognized as the 2018 IIBA Chapter of the Year.  With 129 IIBA outstanding Chapters worldwide, this was truly an honor to be recognized!

As a volunteer run organization, we are proud that the team efforts of everyone made this award possible.  This includes our Members, Sponsors, Volunteers, Corporations, and our colleagues in other Professional Associations within our state.  Thank you all for your support!

A special recognition to each member of our Board of Directors: Bao Do, Lonnie Fluck, Liz Trinkle, Stewart Mednick, Deb Winter, Amos Ridenour, Mark Nervig, and Jeremy Mann.  Sincere gratitude to our Social Media Coordinator and our own IIBA MSP Volunteer of the Year, Colleen Pilat.  These amazing leaders have given tirelessly of their time.  They are passionate about promoting our profession and ensuring our Chapter delivers value to our Members and Community.

Look to 2019 to be even more amazing for the Chapter!  Save the date for our 2019 Professional Development Day (PDD) on Thursday, April 18th.  Until then, join us for Chapter Meetings, Leadership Development, Socials, and so much more.

In the spirit of IIBA,

Kim Schilling

President, IIBA® Minneapolis | St. Paul Chapter
