Presentation title: Same work ... same people ... different approach: An Effective Option for a Complex Environment

Speaker: Christian Antoine, Certified Trainer with Collaborative Leadership Team

Join us for a professional development evening on Thursday, March 11th, when our guest speaker, Christian Antoine, will deliver an exciting presentation on how this former Business Analyst navigated the shift from a plan-based approach to value-based approach to work.  You will be given an opportunity to participate in an interactive learning session.

In 2008, Christian was a contract business analyst starting a new contract with a company intending to use Scrum for the effort.  This was the first time Christian heard about Scrum and had no clue (or training) what it was or what it meant for a traditional business analyst.  He wanted the work, and as they say, when in Rome …

Hear the story of how this former BA navigated the shift from a plan-based approach to value-based approach to work.  The skills needed to do the work does not go away just because the approach to the work may be changing.  Same work …. same people … different approach.  Come learn and ask questions.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the potential pitfalls of Waterfall versus Agile
  • Learn why Agile works well with Complexity
  • Understand how to assess your level of agility
  • Understand the impact on structure and behaviors associated with Agile
