Cybersecurity: Risk is the New Currency

In this presentation, Terry  Baresh will cover the role of the business analyst working in cybersecurity using a specific use case. 

The role of a business analyst working in cybersecurity is to identify and document the known risks associated with a cybersecurity initiative, and to tie that risk to the company's risk appetite, their security and information protection policies, and to a cybersecurity framework, and to demonstrate measurable business value.

Attendees will learn:

  • Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity terms and practices
  • An awareness of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and the core elements
  • Basic understanding of risk management applied to cybersecurity practice
  • An opportunity to create a simple risk register
  • Demonstration on how cybersecurity practices bring value to business
