I’ve been a member and committed supporter of the IIBA both internationally and locally since February 2007. Currently a Senior Business Analyst with PrimeVest Financial Services in St. Cloud MN, I became interested in expanding the Minneapolis Chapter to outlying areas, particularly St. Cloud in an effort to bring the IIBA message and educational opportunities to the Business Analysis practitioners in Central Minnesota. In March of 2009, I organized and hosted an informational meeting with Business Analyst in St. Cloud to determine the direction of the St. Cloud Branch and was appointed to the Mpls Chapter Board of Directors at that time.

Professionally, I’ve been with PrimeVest Financial Services, an independent Broker Dealer in the Financial Services industry since January of 2001 where I’ve risen to the position of Sr. Business Analyst. Throughout my career as an Analyst, I’ve participated in and led many successful strategic web application projects for the organization.

My background, though unconventional to the BA community, I believe is a testament to my analyst skills and the BA profession. In 1992, A BS degree from Moorhead State University in Business Management led me to a management position with a large regional grocery wholesaler, Nash Finch Company. Managing a multi million dollar retail operation and Business Analysis, though appearing very different, have many similarities, primarily problem solving and the associated challenges. Excelling at those skills has led me to become an effective Business Analyst.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with and solving the day to day problems a family and twin 5 year old boys can bring, and almost anything outdoors!
